WiFi Analyser is built on a simple principle: your network data is yours. We do not store, sell, or share your PCAP files or analysis results.
WiFi Analyser uses the following third-party sub-processors that may process data submitted to this service:
When AI diagnosis is used, frame metadata only is sent to Anthropic — frame type, subtype, IE fields, and anomaly descriptions. This may include SSIDs and device vendor names from your capture.
Never sent to Anthropic: raw PCAP bytes, encryption keys, data frame payloads, or Wi-Fi passwords.
AI analysis uses a service-side API key held in Railway environment variables. No API key is required from you — your browser never handles or stores any Anthropic API key.
Anthropic's privacy policy applies to AI processing: anthropic.com/privacy
Analysis results are held in server RAM for up to 1 hour then auto-deleted. Raw PCAP bytes are never stored to disk. No data persists after server restart. You can request immediate deletion via DELETE /api/jobs/{id}.
To prevent abuse, AI analysis requests are rate-limited to 10 requests per IP address per hour. Your IP address is held in server memory solely for this purpose and is automatically purged after 1 hour. It is never written to disk, logged, or shared.
PCAP captures exceeding 50,000 packets are truncated at that threshold for processing. This limit exists to protect service availability. You will see a warning in the analysis if your capture was truncated.
All PCAP analysis features work in offline mode — PCAP data is processed on our server and results returned to your browser. No data is sent to Anthropic unless you explicitly use AI analysis features. AI analysis uses the service's built-in API — no key is required from you.
By uploading a PCAP, you confirm that you have authority to analyse the captured network traffic. Do not upload captures from networks you do not own or have explicit permission to analyse.
