Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 April 2026
WiFi Analyser is a free tool provided as-is for network analysis purposes. By using this tool you agree to these terms.
Authorized Network Capture
By uploading a packet capture file (.pcap, .pcapng, .cap) to WiFi Analyser, you confirm that:
- You are the owner of the network from which the traffic was captured, OR you have received explicit written authorization from the network owner to capture and analyze this traffic.
- You understand that uploading packet captures from networks you do not own or are not authorized to monitor may violate the Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA), 18 U.S.C. §§ 2510–2523, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), and equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction.
- WPA/WPA2/WPA3 handshake data present in uploaded PCAPs is processed solely for analysis purposes, is never stored permanently, and is auto-deleted within 1 hour of upload.
- WiFi Analyser accepts no liability for use of this tool in violation of applicable law.
Acceptable Use
- You may only analyse network captures from networks you own or have explicit written permission to analyse
- You must not use this tool to intercept, capture, or analyse traffic without authorisation
- You must not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
- You must not use this tool for any illegal purpose
Your Responsibility
By uploading a PCAP file, you confirm that you have the legal right and authority to analyse the captured network traffic. WiFi Analyser accepts no liability for unauthorised use of network captures.
No Warranty
WiFi Analyser is provided free of charge on an "as-is" basis. We make no guarantees about the accuracy of analysis results. Always verify critical findings with additional tools and expertise.
Service Availability
WiFi Analyser is a free service and may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance or upgrades. We do not guarantee uptime or availability.
Service Limits
- PCAP captures exceeding 50,000 packets are truncated at that threshold. This limit exists to protect service availability for all users.
- AI analysis is rate-limited to 10 requests per IP address per hour. Your IP address is held in server memory for rate limiting purposes only and purged automatically after 1 hour.
- Analysis results are held in server RAM for up to 1 hour then auto-deleted. No data persists after server restart.
Intellectual Property
WiFi Analyser is built and maintained by Shankar Korukoppula. The tool, its design, and its anomaly detection logic are original work. Feedback and bug reports are welcome and may be incorporated into future versions.
Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
